  2. Welcome to the Slackware Linux (v. 3.5.0) ZipSlack bootdisk!

  4. By default, this disk will boot a Linux system on /dev/sda4.  In an otherwise
  5. IDE based Linux system with a Zip drive connected to a SCSI card or parallel
  6. port, this is probably the device to use.  If you've got a ZipPlus drive,
  7. you'll have to connect it to a SCSI controller, since the Linux PPA driver
  8. only supports the original parallel-only Zip drive.

  10. To boot the default device (/dev/sda4) just hit ENTER.  To boot other devices,
  11. you'll have to enter some information on the 'boot:' prompt below.  Here are
  12. two examples of how to boot a SCSI or parallel Zip drive:
  13.   mount root=/dev/sda4 rw
  14.   mount root=/dev/sdb4 rw
  15.  
  16. These examples work with IDE devices such as DOS partitions on your hard drive,
  17. or IDE Zip drives:
  18.   mount root=/dev/hda4 rw
  19.   mount root=/dev/hdb4 rw
